INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST

As a INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:
Conduct security surveys of assigned contractor facilities such as evaluation of organization structures, legal operating plans to determine eligibility for a facility security clearance. Review contract documents, program security classification guides and Contract Security Classification Specifications to ensure security requirements and classification guidance are specified and properly implemented. Evaluate, validate, and inspect all non-technical Information Systems (IS) features and safeguards for contractor facilities processing classified information. Train, lead, and mentor a team of security professionals. Identify counterintelligence issues, assess risks, and provide security countermeasures recommendations/alternatives to mitigate the risk. Develop and present oral briefings to high-level management officials. Conducting inspections, surveys and investigations of government, non-governmental facilities and personnel in order to determine Providing expertise in a wide variety of security management functions such as:
Experience in the establishment and maintenance of a security program in compliance with National Industrial Security Program (NISP); conducting security inspections / assessments / surveys, providing security oversight and assistance to contractor facilities in the areas of physical security, personnel security, information system security, communication security (COMSEC), classification management, education & training; computer system security, and counterintelligence protection of sensitive materials and information and compliance with laws and regulations. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Information Security - Applies knowledge of policies, procedures, and requirements established under appropriate authorities to protect information that, if subjected to unauthorized disclosure could reasonably be expected to cause damage to national security. 2. Security - Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines related to securing personnel, facilities, and information, including the requirements for handling, transporting, and protecting classified information and proper reporting of security incidents. 3. Security Education and Awareness - Develops, administers, and maintains curricula and materials on the full range of security principles and practices. Conducts and tracks security and counterintelligence awareness briefings and debriefings. 4. Teamwork - Encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust, and group identity; fosters commitment and team spirit; works with others to achieve goals. 5. Vulnerabilities Assessment and Management - Conduct assessments on threats and vulnerabilities, determine the level of risk, and develop and recommend appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and non-operational situations. Conduct assessments in a counterintelligence context to protect against espionage, other intelligence activities, and sabotage conducted for or on behalf of foreign powers, organizations or persons, or international terrorist activities.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
