Job Description:
Minimum: BS/BA in Chemistry or closely related field with 4-7 years of laboratory based research experience, preferably in pharmaceutical process chemistry. MS and Ph.D. level candidates with applicable experience will also be considered.
The Process Chemistry group within Pharmaceutical Worldwide Research & Development in Groton, CT is seeking a highly productive research scientist who applies a strong technical/scientific foundation to deliver high quality scientific results in a laboratory environment in a safe and effective manner.
A strong knowledge of chemistry/chemical engineering with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines is a must.
The candidate will work closely with experienced scientific staff to carry out experiments using a mix of traditional and automated lab reactors. An ability to communicate results at team discussions and through clear, concise written reports is required. An interest in statistical analysis is a plus and previous experience with large scale chemistry is desirable. -
Strong, demonstrated performance in synthetic organic chemistry experimentation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to maintain an accurate scientific notebook.
