In the Animal Care Technician I role, you can do that by providing the highest-level quality assurance and control, in addition to coordinating preventative maintenance of equipment, as well as inspecting operation procedures to ensure the integrity of the research.

In the Animal Care Technician I role, you will use existing SOPs and quality assurance standards to perform daily animal health observations, as well as animal husbandry and cagewash duties, to maintain quality and health of research animals.
Supply food and water for research animals.
You will also need to maintain accurate records of things like animal housing, animal health and necessary supplies.
You may assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of animal species, and you may become involved in the breeding and weaning procedures.
Other duties may include supporting cagewash equipment operations and maintenance, monitoring personnel entry into various rooms, and general vivarium housekeeping, when required.
Qualifications A candidate that possesses a high school diploma with 1 year of animal care/husbandry required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed above.
Interest in achieving ALAT certification upon eligibility.
The pay range for this position is $20-21 per hour.
