Job Description
TITLE: .NET Developer
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop software applications in support of Progeny's innovative, high quality engineering solutions in an agile environment
Comply with existing, but flexible, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, defined processes, and control mechanisms to ensure configuration control and high-quality product development.
Preparation of documentation to support installation, configuration and integration of software including Requirements, Use Cases, Solution Design, etc.
Lead the design, development, and testing of software updates.
Responsible to support all requests for assistance in a timely manner.
Skills/Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Familiarity with software engineering disciplines from requirements development to validation.
Detail-Oriented about coding, documentation and visual/interface design standards.
Strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision-skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide effective solutions to software design and development challenges.
Ability to work well under pressure and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
Experience with Software Versioning Control solutions using Team Foundation Server.
Experience with , , VBScript, JavaScript, T-SQL, XML is desired.
Experience with development IDEs such as Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server Management Studio 2008.
Experience with SQL Server databases including Merge Replication is desired.
Experience in the design and development of software applications using multiple technologies including, but not limited to .NET installed software, web applications, and Web Services.
Familiarity with .NET deployment projects and application packaging.
Experience with IBM MQ Series is a plus.
Navy experience a plus.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related technical field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience.)
5-15 years experience
Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
